Final Aged Care Rules Draft and Updated Provider Checklist Released

The final consolidated draft of the new Aged Care Rules has been released, giving providers the clarity needed to prepare for the significant changes taking effect on 1 November 2025. With much to do and limited time, now is the moment to review your operations and ensure you’ll be ready for compliance when the new requirements commence.

The Department of Health, Disability and Aging has also released a new Provider Operational Readiness Priority Actions List listing priority actions that aged care providers should take to prepare for the commencement of the new Aged Care Act.

We recommend that all providers review the checklist to determine whether there are any changes identified there that they haven’t already begun preparing for.

We’ll be working closely with many aged care providers over the coming months to prepare for these new laws, so that they can move forward with confidence and peace of mind.
